DUSTY OWL READING SERIES
is happening again this weekend!
This monthly series is dedicated to showcasing the best in literary talent and fostering the artistic community.
The show includes featured readers or performers, followed by an open-mic session – so if you've got any poetry, fiction or spoken word that you'd like to share with the world, bring it along.
And this Sunday's features will be:
Jamaal Jackson Rogers is a performance poet and hip-hop artist who uses rhyme, theatre and dance to deliver his art, which has been dubbed as “polyphonic.” His topics range from parenting to emotional maturity; from global issues to spirituality. His choice of moniker is highlighted in the intimate attention he pays to his audience; a poet who offers you nothing less than himself.

Jeff Cottrill is a writer, performance poet, journalist and occasional actor from Toronto. He has featured in literary and slam series all over Ontario, the U.K. and parts of the U.S. for the past ten years and counting. His performance style is often influenced by slam conventions—but also subverts them with wit, dark humour and a satirical tone. He has also toured with a solo Fringe show, Grouch on a Couch.
